Muharram rituals are all aimed at remembering the great sacrifice of Imam Hussain(AS) and his followers, who refused to bow to despotic and tyrannical authority.
Like previous years, this year too On 19th Safar wednesday 2nd January the main mourning procession of Chelum Imam Hussain (A.S) was appeared from Azakhana Pando street Lahore and ended at its usual goal after passing away along its traditional route amid tight security.Police ,Volunteers (Mukhtar Force Lahore) and Scouts organizations(Hussaina Scouts),rescue services and offical of local adminstartion made required arrangements for Azadar of procession.
The entire route of the procession was sealed shops and markets situated on the route were closed. All roads and lanes leading to the route of the procession were sealed by placing containers.All the participants of the processions were able to enter after thoroughly checking.
The Regional Commmender Mukhtar Force Lahore syed Imran expressed satisfaction with the security arrangements.
